Social Services Director| LSW Required
About the role
Oversee and direct resident care management and ensure all established social services provisions are carried out. Identify medically-related social services needs of residents and ensure that these needs are met. Assist in meeting the psychological needs of each resident, including developing and managing services to improve social functioning, reduce psychosocial problems, enhance positive self-image, and preserve dignity. Coordinate psychiatric services and monitor psychoactive medication usage. Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every daily interaction with guests, their families, and visitors. Develop and deliver clinical orientation and training for new nursing team members, including classroom training on specific nursing policies, procedures, and techniques; observing, assisting and assessing new team members’ performance; and ensuring new members are equipped with the skills necessary to be successful in their new roles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or in related human services field, including but not limited to Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Psychology
- Minimum of a Limited License in Social Work; LBSW preferred
- 3+ years of related experience in a health care facility; long term care experience highly desired; working knowledge of gerontology
