Social Services Director

About the role

As a Social Services Director, you will plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and direct the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics and regulatory guidelines. You will foster a supportive environment that maximizes residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs of residents
• Develop and implement services to meet identified needs
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for residents
• Evaluate the effectiveness of services and make necessary adjustments
• Supervise and mentor staff members
• Ensure compliance with national and local regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field
• Minimum of one year of supervisory social work experience in a health care setting working with the geriatric population
• Minimum of two years of prior experience in a long-term care facility, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, or memory care facility
• Professional certification, license, or registration in the state of practice
