Responsibilities
- Assists with the direct care, safety, development, and well-being of all child participants.
- Assists with the implementation of developmentally appropriate program activities for infants and toddlers.
- Provides informal parenting education to parent participants.
- Observes child behavior and notes observations.
- Assists with screenings and assessments.
- Records and enters data.
- Maintains records and reports.
- Provides a clean and appropriate environment.
- Enforces health and safety standards.
- Assists with transportation of families to and from the Center.
- Attends trainings and meetings as required.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
- Must have 90 clock hours Core Knowledge Training.
- Possess child growth and development knowledge from birth through five years of age.
- Maintain respect for confidentiality.
- Relate to people of diverse backgrounds.
- Model appropriate interaction with young children and parents.
- Able to work independently as well as a team member and leader.
- Able to schedule and manage time.

- Licenses and Certificates:
- This position requires a valid license equivalent to a non-commercial, class C Maryland driver's license at the time of appointment.
