Social Service Designee

About the role

The Director of Social Services reports to the Administrator and provides medically related social services to meet the needs of residents and their families, helping maintain or improve residents’ ability to manage daily physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide medically related social services to residents and families.
• Work cooperatively with other personnel, medical staff, social service agencies/organizations, and third‑party payors.
• Assist residents in maintaining or improving their ability to manage everyday physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

Requirements

• Current working knowledge of appropriate policies and procedures concerning various benefits and forms of assistance.
• Understanding of requirements and regulations of state and federal agencies.

Skills

• General knowledge of communication skills and family dynamics.
• Ability to participate in professional organizations and pursue continuing education related to the position.

Pay

Pay $18‑$25 depending on experience.
