About the role
The Department of Corrections seeks a Social Service Clinician I to work at the Little Sandy Correctional Complex.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic services through the assessment of offender needs.
- Perform needs assessments, develop individual plans.
- Lead therapeutic groups and recreation activities.
- Cognitive counseling on a one-on-one basis.
- Coordinate with other program areas as needed.
- Track data and provide reports and statistical data as needed.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary planning and treatment planning.
Requirements
- A master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, marriage and family therapy or a related field.
- One year of professional social work experience.
- If employed by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services or the Department of Juvenile Justice, must furnish documentation of a valid driver's license within one month of employment.
- Maintain required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree supplemented by three years of professional social work experience will substitute for the primary education and experience requirements.
