About the role

The Department of Corrections seeks a Social Service Clinician I to work at the Little Sandy Correctional Complex.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic services through the assessment of offender needs.
  • Perform needs assessments, develop individual plans.
  • Lead therapeutic groups and recreation activities.
  • Cognitive counseling on a one-on-one basis.
  • Coordinate with other program areas as needed.
  • Track data and provide reports and statistical data as needed.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary planning and treatment planning.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, marriage and family therapy or a related field.
  • One year of professional social work experience.
  • If employed by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services or the Department of Juvenile Justice, must furnish documentation of a valid driver's license within one month of employment.
  • Maintain required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree supplemented by three years of professional social work experience will substitute for the primary education and experience requirements.

Pay

$65,168.64 Annually
