Summary Statement

This position serves as a member of the Policy and Planning Unit (PPU), which develops and maintains policies and communications; coordinates with system partners; conducts research and surveys; and fosters strong interagency and stakeholder relationships. These efforts support effective eligibility and provider processes and ongoing federal and state compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains and analyzes program data.
  • Provides technical assistance and recommends course of action.
  • Develops and implements policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Counsels and consults with operations' staff, State/Federal agencies, and community organizations.
  • Analyzes problems and provides responses to inquiries regarding services.
  • Assists as a consultant and liaison for special programs and projects.
  • Evaluates the impact of proposed rules on current operations.

Job Requirements

  • Three years experience in health or human services work.
  • Six months experience in health or human services program administration.
  • Six months experience in developing policies or procedures.
  • Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Six months experience in narrative report writing.
