Social Referee & Host

About the role

Volo Sports is a community-based organization that connects users for fitness and social activities across the US. The Social Referee & Host position is part-time, offering a chance to referee sports and host events in a friendly, competitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, fun, social, and fair environment for all players
• Understand and kindly and fairly enforce each sport’s rules
• Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.

Qualifications

• Prior experience playing or refereeing the sport is ideal
• Must be available for a minimum of eight weeks, with weekday availability from 5:30pm-10:30pm and weekend availability between 9am - 4pm
• Must have reliable transportation to and from field locations

• Must value punctuality and professionalism
• Prior referee experience is a plus, but not required
• Experience in diffusing challenging situations is a plus
