Social Media Volunteer – ABC7 Gibbons 5K Run & 3K Walk

About The Role

We’re seeking a creative, motivated Social Media Volunteers to help bring the energy and impact of the ABC7 Gibbons Run to life online. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event marketing, nonprofit communications, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and schedule engaging social media content (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn) leading up to the event.
• Capture and share stories about participants, teams, and sponsors.
• Affiliate with on-site content creation on event day (Saturday, May 30).
• Help monitor engagement and respond to community interactions.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent branding and messaging.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
• Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and reliable.
• Interest in marketing, communications, or nonprofit work.
• Availability to attend the event on May 30, 2026, is preferred.
