Detox Nation · United States · 3 wk ago
RemoteRemoteMarketing$50k–$70k/yrContract

Company: Detox Nation
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Employment Type: Contractor

About This Role

This role exists to do three things well. Everything else supports them:

  • Own organic social for a root-cause health brand. You are the single owner of Detox Nation/Sinclair/Selah Center’s organic presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest (strategy, calendar, publishing, and community) while protecting our educational, grounded voice.
  • Drive short-form video. Short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) is the core of how we reach new audiences. You own its strategy and execution from scripting and repurposing existing content to optimizing for watch time and retention.
  • Apply health-compliance judgment. Our content educates on sensitive health topics. You know how to make it compelling without fear-based hooks, overpromised outcomes, or non-compliant medical claims and you flag risk early.

This is not a trend-chasing role, and it is not about virality at the expense of trust. We build long-term brand authority through calm, credible, educational content that reaches the right people.

Core Objectives

  • Grow and engage a high-trust, mission-aligned audience across platforms
  • Distribute educational content effectively via short-form and long-form video
  • Support traffic, leads, and revenue through social channels
  • Protect Detox Nation’s voice, credibility, and compliance standards
  • Build scalable systems for long-term social growth

Responsibilities

  • Platform management & growth: Run Detox Nation/Sinclair/Selah Center’s organic presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube (with the YouTube Assistant), Facebook, and Pinterest. Develop platform-specific strategies to grow followers, reach, and engagement with a high-trust, mission-aligned audience, optimizing against analytics and audience behavior.
  • Content & short-form video: Plan, create, and publish on-brand content (posts, stories, Reels/Shorts/TikToks, video clips, and Lives as appropriate). Repurpose blogs, course content, emails, and podcasts/talks into educational short-form and long-form video that holds attention while keeping Sinclair Kennally’s voice and credibility intact, and stay current on platform best practices without trend-chasing.
  • Calendar & campaign alignment: Build and maintain a content calendar aligned with campaigns, launches, and educational priorities, coordinating with Copy, Design, and marketing leadership for clean, consistent execution.
  • Community & compliance: Monitor and engage with the community (with assistance), moderating for misinformation, hostility, and compliance risk, and escalating sensitive health questions appropriately. Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and health/wellness compliance standards (no medical claims, fear-based messaging, or overpromised outcomes) and flag risks early, especially on TikTok.
  • Traffic, leads & reporting: Drive traffic to blogs, educational resources, and offers; support launches and promotions organically; and partner with Paid Media to identify high-performing organic content for amplification. Track engagement, reach, follower growth, watch time and retention, and click-throughs, and report on what’s working, what’s not, and what’s being tested next.

Requirements

  • Hands-on social media management for a supplements, detox, functional/integrative medicine, or nutraceutical brand. General wellness, fitness, beauty, med spa, mental health, or lifestyle experience does not qualify on its own.
  • You must have been the person who created and published the content — not a director who oversaw a team, and not an agency generalist with one wellness client among many.
  • Proven, hands-on experience running short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), including scripting or outlining and editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within brand and health-compliance constraints (no medical claims, no fear-based or overpromised messaging).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and the reliability to own posting cadence and execution independently as a contractor.
  • Proven experience managing brand social media accounts, with hands-on content creation and management.
  • Strong understanding of short-form video dynamics and platform-specific best practices, and the ability to work within brand and compliance constraints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scripting or outlining educational video content in a health or science-based context.
  • Comfort collaborating with copy, paid media, and content teams.

Skills

  • Social scheduling tools (Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)
  • Native platform analytics
  • Canva / Adobe Creative Suite
  • Google Workspace
  • Ssemble

How You’ll Be Measured

  • Audience growth and engagement quality
  • Short-form video performance (watch time, retention)
  • Consistency and reliability of posting
  • Traffic and lead contribution
  • Brand and compliance adherence
  • Quality of insights and reporting

Cultural Fit

  • Calm, thoughtful, and mission-aligned
  • Systems-oriented with long-term thinking
  • Comfortable with responsibility and moderation
  • Proactive and reliable
  • Aligned with Detox Nation’s mission: root-cause education, integrity, and real results
