We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to serve CCV NextGen (Kids and Students), Stars, and Missions by creating strategic content that grows audiences, promotes events, and leads people further in their faith. Channels of emphasis include Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The Specialist works alongside the Social Strategist to bring to life compelling visual and written content that engages new communities. This role is part of a larger Marketing and Communications Team that supports all ministries of CCV, amplifying the voice and presentation of the church to the Valley at large.
Responsibilities
- Oversee ministry calendars to anticipate and equip upcoming events and initiatives
- Plan, execute, and analyze content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Develop PESO (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned) tactics to amplify church happenings
- Manage projects and delegate tasks using Monday.com, both for self and creative teams
- Handle copywriting, content capture (photo and video), editing, and graphic design
- Create weekend graphics to support sermons and key takeaways
- Demonstrate flexibility and innovation within a nimble team environment
- Provide leadership and coach volunteers on marketing executions
- Manage community interactions, post scheduling, and conflict resolution
- Produce live event and behind-the-scenes storytelling
Requirements
- A passion for reaching the lost and personal integrity in all areas of life
- Must be—or willing to become—a participating member of CCV
- Regularly attends worship services with family
- Active participant in a neighborhood group, transformation group, and a regular tither
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, and graphic design
- Ability to innovate social media video series and trends while effectively communicating information
- Strong interpersonal skills, building effective relationships and communicating well both interpersonally and corporately
- Leadership skills to build teams, communicate vision, and drive results
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations of attendees, families, and team members
- Action-oriented with a focus on results, displaying passion and initiative
- Committed to self-development, seeking constructive criticism, and understanding strengths and weaknesses
- Strategic planning skills to forecast needs and respond to changes
- Detail-oriented with strong administrative skills, including delegation and multitasking
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a related ministry, non-profit, or cause-based organization preferred
