About the role
The University of Florida is seeking a Social Media Producer to lead and elevate social media engagement for the Division of Enrollment Management. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing social media strategies, creating engaging content, managing social channels, analyzing performance metrics, and engaging with prospective students and key audiences.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Strategy and Content Management
- Create and publish engaging content across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with student ambassadors to develop authentic, student-centered content.
- Respond to comments, direct messages, and other interactions.
- Conduct social listening and monitor social media activity.
- Optimize social media performance using analytics and platform best practices.
- Manage emergency communications on social media channels.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or public relations.
- One to two years of professional experience in social media marketing, digital communications, or strategic audience engagement.
- Experience with social media content curation, management, and scheduling platforms.
- Demonstrated success in growing social media audiences and engagement.
- Experience creating and executing social media strategies to drive measurable results.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to create engaging organic content, including written, visual, and video assets.
- Comfortable presenting projects, recommendations, and performance results to stakeholders.
- Experience with task managers such as Asana or Microsoft Teams.
- Proven experience creating and executing communications or marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
