About the role
The Sport & Entertainment Social Media Manager will lead and execute the social media strategy for the Sports & Entertainment vertical as part of the Marketing Department, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Sports & Entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and implement a comprehensive social media strategy in support of Sports & Entertainment business objectives and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Set and manage the Sports & Entertainment content calendar, prioritizing timing, sequencing, and content mix to drive consistent, high-impact audience engagement.
- Oversee the development, curation and publishing of compelling content including copy, graphics, short-form video, live coverage and platform-specific storytelling across Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Direct and make judgement calls on real-time social coverage during live sporting events, entertainment activations, partnerships, and key cultural moments.
- Develop engaging, platform-optimized messaging that reflects brand voice while resonating with sports and entertainment audiences.
- Guide day-to-day community engagement, including monitoring comments, DMs, and trending conversations and escalating brand or reputational considerations as appropriate.
- Advise and partner cross-functionally with marketing, creative, partnerships, PR, and brand teams to align messaging and campaign execution.
- Evaluate performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth, video views, CTR) and translate into actionable recommendations.
- Assess and activate emerging trends, viral moments, and partnership opportunities to increase reach, engagement and brand relevance.
- Oversee social strategy and coordinated execution for athlete, artist, influencer, and sponsorship activations through coordinated social promotion and campaign oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within sports, entertainment, media, or lifestyle brands.
- Proven experience managing brand social channels and content calendars.
- Strong understanding of sports culture, entertainment trends, and digital fan engagement.
- Experience covering live events and real-time content publishing.
- Proficiency in major social platforms and social management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- An analytical mindset with experience using social media reporting tools.
- Creative thinker with the ability to translate cultural moments into engaging brand content.
Qualifications
- Experience working with athletes, entertainers, influencers, or sponsorship partners.
- Familiarity with paid social strategy and boosting content.
- Experience with short-form video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.).
- Knowledge of NIL, sponsorship activations, and sports marketing campaigns.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends for live events.
Skills

Benefits
The base pay range for this position is $89,000 - $105,505 per year, and a competitive bonus.
