We are building an elite, high‑performing team that applies frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. The Social Media Manager, Community will act as the human extension of our brand across key social platforms, balancing an accessible, bold, and relatable voice with rigorous compliance standards. This senior, full‑time role is based in New York, NY, and Menlo Park, CA, with an expectation of at least three days per week in‑person.

Responsibilities

• Own the community management strategy, setting tone and playbooks for X, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, and evolve the approach as platforms and audience shift.
• Manage daily community operations: write social posts, respond, moderate conversations, and keep the audience active and connected.
• Leverage deep understanding of online finance communities to authentically engage retail investors.
• Monitor community sentiment, use social listening tools, and deliver actionable insights to product and marketing teams.
• Ideate and execute community‑first activations such as live AMAs, platform‑specific Q&As, and surprise‑and‑delight moments.
• Partner with Product Marketing on launches and campaigns, shaping social‑native creative, pressure‑testing concepts, and serving as the credible community voice.
• Stay current with internet culture, algorithm changes, meme formats, FinTwit narratives, and emerging influencers to keep the community presence cutting‑edge.
• Represent the Robinhood voice with strong judgment, ensuring all community communications adhere to Content Standards and strict financial regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in social media or community management, preferably at a fast‑paced consumer tech, fintech, or culturally relevant brand, with a track record of owning a channel or program end‑to‑end.
• Experience partnering with product marketing, brand, or campaign teams to translate product stories into native, human‑focused social content.
• Native understanding of platform nuances—especially X, TikTok, Reddit, and Instagram—and how different communities operate within them.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to code‑switch between formal legal briefs and culturally relevant social posts.
• Data‑driven mindset with the ability to translate social metrics (sentiment, engagement rate, conversions) into actionable strategy.
• Ability to thrive in a highly regulated industry, balancing creative marketing with strict compliance and legal guardrails.

Pay

Base pay ranges are aligned to three compensation zones:

• Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC): $128,000 — $150,000 USD
• Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL): $112,000 — $132,000 USD
• Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL): $99,000 — $117,000 USD
