Social Media Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our TEDx event goals
• Create and curate engaging content, including text posts, images, videos, and infographics for our social media channels
• Manage and enhance our online presence across various social media platforms
• Maintain and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute social media campaigns related to our event
• Analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports on performance and engagement
• Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices, recommending innovative strategies to reach our target audience

Qualifications

• Strong passion for social media engagement and the TED/TEDx mission
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms
• Creative thinking ability with a knack for generating new ideas and content concepts
• Experience in social media marketing or digital communications (preferred but not required)
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Time Commitment

This volunteer position requires a commitment of approximately 3-6 hours per week, which may increase during the lead-up to our TEDx event.
