About the role
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly creative Social Media Manager to join our hybrid team in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-platform social media strategy
- Establish quarterly and annual growth goals across all social channels
- Build channel-specific strategies rather than reposting identical content everywhere
- Identify opportunities on emerging platforms before competitors
- Develop TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit strategies from the ground up
- Continuously evaluate platform changes, trends, and algorithm updates
- Own constant improvement and implementation of new strategies across all platforms
- Create engaging photo, video, and written content that reflects our luxury brand
- Capture content in studio, at events, trade shows, client visits, and behind the scenes
- Edit high-quality Reels, TikToks, Shorts, Stories, and long-form video
- Create educational, inspirational, product-focused, lifestyle, and founder-driven content
- Write compelling captions and storytelling that reflect our voice
- Develop content calendars aligned with launches, campaigns, holidays, and company initiatives
- Manage and grow our online communities
- Engage authentically through comments, DMs, mentions, and conversations
- Identify creators, collaborators, influencers, and brand ambassadors who align with the Buddha Jewelry brand, the piercing industry, and our shared core values
- Build relationships with professional piercers and industry leaders
- Maintain a consistent and elevated brand voice across all platforms
- Model company values in every interaction, communication, and decision
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- 5+ years of social media marketing experience, preferably in luxury, jewelry, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands
- Demonstrated success developing and executing social media strategies that drive measurable growth
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging social platforms
- Excellent photography, videography, and short-form video editing skills
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools
- Experience using social media management and analytics platforms such as Sprout Social, HubSpot, or similar
- Exceptional copywriting, storytelling, and communication skills
- Strong project management, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to balance creative thinking with data-driven decision making
- Comfortable receiving feedback, adapting quickly, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel up to 2 weeks per month for trade shows, events, content creation, and client visits
- Flexible schedule averaging 40-45 hours per week, with availability to support social media engagement during evenings, weekends, holidays, and key business events as needed
