About the role
Reporting to the Public Relations, Partnerships & Social Media Director, the Social Media Lead is responsible for managing and enhancing Landmark’s online presence, guiding the organic social media content strategy, and tracking performance to grow brand awareness and audience engagement. This role bridges strategic marketing initiatives and day-to-day execution across Landmark’s social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. In collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, the Social Media Lead will bring the Landmark brand to life through creative storytelling and differentiated content that resonates with current and prospective members. This role ensures content matches the brand voice, leverages digital trends, and manages monthly content calendars. A passion for community building and a strong understanding of social media trends, tools, and best practices are essential.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategy and lead the day-to-day management and optimization of Landmark’s organic social media content.
- Generate ideas that increase brand visibility and support business goals through organic social media.
- Lead the creation of engaging content across platforms, including static imagery, video, and copy.
- Drive audience engagement while ensuring all social content is on-brand (style, quality, and tone of voice).
- Support and maintain digital standards, techniques, and methods for social media marketing; monitor trends and best practices.
- Develop and manage content calendars for social media, including planning, scheduling, and organizing multi-platform initiatives.
- Monitor social media channels and respond to private and public comments.
- Identify content on social channels that puts the Landmark brand reputation at high risk and escalate to management for support.
- Proactively analyze organic social performance and present data to stakeholders; provide insights and recommendations to increase engagement.
- Drive cross-channel efforts by partnering with PR, community, and product teams to create appropriate social content.
- Create engaging copy and graphics; direct and capture photos; and develop short-form video for organic social media use.
- Prepare content for publishing, including images, video, tracking codes, and tagging.
- Operate independently and proactively meet deliverables and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required, along with four years of hands-on social media experience.
- Deep knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok).
- Familiarity with the financial industry is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Superior writing and editing skills.
- Hands-on experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva.
- Strong project management capabilities; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Direct experience using social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social.
- Clear understanding of each social channel’s audience and their effectiveness in driving results.
- Experience leading the strategy, execution, and reporting of social media metrics; ability to interpret results and take action to improve performance.
- Strong understanding of Meta Business Manager/Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail; ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
