About the role

We are seeking energetic and dedicated interns to join our team for the upcoming season. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the fast-paced world of sports social media. You will work alongside the Marketing and Communications team to produce real-time content that engages fans before, during, and after Fargo Force home games. Opportunity to receive college credit if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide live social media coverage across Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram Stories
  • Create engaging game day content including player arrivals, warmups, fan experiences, goals, celebrations, promotions, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Capture in-game promotions, mascot interactions, and community engagement moments as necessary
  • Help identify creative storytelling opportunities that enhance the fan experience
  • Stay up to date on social trends across platforms
  • Maintain the Fargo Force brand voice and visual identity across all social platforms
  • Various other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Sports Management, Graphic Design, Photography, or a related field (highly desired but not required)
  • Strong background and knowledge in Adobe Photoshop; other Adobe Creative Platform experience is a plus
  • Strong interest in the sports industry, particularly knowledge of hockey
  • Comfortable using a DSLR or mirrorless camera for photo or video
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, live event environment while meeting deadlines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Must be available to work all Fargo Force home games, which include evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Reliable transportation to and from games
  • Ability to lift and carry camera equipment as needed
