The Social Media & Event Coordinator is responsible for attracting and interacting with our target audience, managing our reputation, and creating one‑of‑a‑kind customer experiences through social media coordination, event planning, programming, and communications across all New Land Hospitality locations. This is a full‑time role averaging 30 hours per week, primarily focused on administrative and event duties, with occasional bartending support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Coordination: Create and coordinate editorial calendars; craft brand stories, generate, edit, and publish engaging content; grow followers and engagement via community engagement, paid ads, influencer partnerships, promotions, and contests; manage online reputation by responding to reviews and soliciting positive feedback; oversee loyalty perks through POS, SMS, or email marketing.
- Digital & Print Media: With marketing team support, design social tiles, flyers, infographics, table signs, and menus; collaborate on marketing strategies that support profitability.
- Data Analysis: Capture and analyze data to guide social media strategy; manage marketing spend, identify cost‑optimization opportunities; analyze sales mix versus spend to inform future decisions.
- Event Coordination: Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual programming & events calendars; keep costs within budget by recruiting sponsors and funding; coordinate onsite teams and external vendors to ensure successful event execution; design marketing campaigns for each event, including social promotion, press, collaborations, and digital/print media.
- Training & Leadership: Train bartenders and third‑party vendors on event and service standards; develop event briefs and train new hires; act as Manager on Duty when onsite.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of proven experience in social media marketing and event coordination.
- Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design and photo/video editing; familiarity with social media analytics, digital marketing, and various marketing channels.
- Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and project‑management abilities.
- Flexibility to work required hours, including some nights and weekends to capture content during peak hours.
