About the Role

A major public university's digital learning division is hiring a Social Media Coordinator to join its online marketing team. The division focuses on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning models, serving students nationally and internationally. This is a hands-on execution role. The coordinator owns day-to-day publishing operations for the university's online program social channels: managing workflows, coordinating assets and approvals, and ensuring everything that goes live is sharp, on-brand, and on time. The role blends operational rigor with creative input, working closely with designers and contributing perspective on what works on each platform.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the execution of social media strategy by managing publishing operations, including scheduling, posting, and quality assurance across platforms
  • Maintaining and updating social media content calendars for accurate, timely, and consistent publishing
  • Contributing to and producing content with a sharp eye for what works on social and what doesn't
  • Tracking published content and supporting performance reporting, documentation, and recaps
  • Maintaining organized records of assets, approvals, schedules, and workflows
  • Communicating proactively with stakeholders to flag risks, delays, or execution issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Experience supporting social media publishing or digital content execution in a professional setting
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in copy, links, assets, or schedules
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
