About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative Social Media Coordinator/Content Developer with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future consumers across all social media platforms. In this role, you will coordinate and administer the development of quality social media content for a wide variety of clients in varying industries. You must possess enthusiasm for social media, a creative flair for developing strong strategies, and a desire to grow as part of a collaborative team. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Post social media content on appropriate channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube, Google+, Reddit, etc.) according to marketing plans.
  • Actively manage communities for several key brands, including answering customer questions and engaging with consumer-provided content.
  • Seek out influencers and actively engaged consumers to inspire and motivate them to share information and talk about the brand.
  • Participate in real-time community conversations on behalf of brands.
  • Assist the strategy team in conducting research and analytics for key brands.
  • Provide insights gained from community interaction to the internal Client Service team.
  • Proactively identify opportunities in user-generated content.
  • Serve as the gatekeeper for all content—ensuring it is proofread, approved, and applicable before posting.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure campaigns are on track.
  • Be the agency’s “go-to” for all social media platform news, informing teams of changes or opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with consumer trends within the creative and consumer industries.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of work experience in social media, communications, or content marketing.
  • Experience with social media management systems such as Hootsuite and analytics tools.
  • Understanding of the social media universe, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google+, and Reddit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to identify threats and opportunities in social media content.
  • Ability to work individually or in a team environment.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to produce creative work that meets clients' marketing goals.

Qualifications

  • Positive, "go-getter" attitude with eagerness to collaborate as part of a team.
  • Photography, writing, and website development skills are a plus.
