About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Content Strategist on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote. In this role, you will own day-to-day social media strategy and execution across LinkedIn and Facebook. You will work cross-functionally with Comms/PR, Product Marketing, Brand, Events, Lifecycle, Frontline, and Sales teams to deliver high-quality content that drives awareness, engagement, and channel growth. This is a hands-on role for a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable building a content calendar, writing sharp copy, capturing content at live events, and synthesizing social listening data into actionable content strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Channel Management & Community Engagement
    • Own and manage the LinkedIn and Facebook content calendars, publishing a minimum of 4-5 posts per week across channels.
    • Monitor owned posts and respond to comments in a timely, on-brand manner.
    • Manage outbound engagements on tagged Zillow Rentals content and handle inbound inbox messages.
  • Content Creation & Optimization
    • Develop static and video content, including copywriting, creative direction, and production coordination.
    • Design and execute A/B tests across content formats and copy to continuously optimize channel performance.
    • Capture and create content at industry events for use across social channels.
  • Campaign & Launch Support
    • Build dedicated social content plans for product launches and feature announcements.
    • Lead social execution for the 2026 Campaign, including ideation and stakeholder reviews with Rentals partners.
    • Support industry event content strategy, including pre, during, and post-event coverage.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
    • Partner with the Comms/PR team to amplify announcements and data-driven stories via social.
    • Collaborate with Brand, Events, Frontline, Lifecycle, and Sales teams on event-driven content initiatives.
    • Manage content approval workflows across posts and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Social Listening & Insights
    • Conduct ongoing social listening to track relevant conversations, particularly around the "Melissa" audience segment, and translate findings into actionable content themes.
    • Flag relevant insights and issues in real time to stakeholders and leadership.
    • Deliver monthly analytics and performance data to inform the business and make strategy adjustments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of social media experience, with a track record of managing B2B social channels (LinkedIn required).
  • Demonstrated experience in video content creation, from concept through execution (portfolio required).
  • Proficiency with social listening tools such as Sprinklr (highly desired) or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience in real estate, proptech, or a related B2B industry.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone across formats and audiences.
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools for creative production (copy, image, video), reporting, social listening, and workflow optimization.
  • Proven ability to move quickly across multiple cross-functional teams, building trust, aligning on priorities, and keeping content workflows on track without sacrificing quality.
  • Experience managing content approval workflows and coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with property management or the multifamily housing ecosystem.
  • Experience supporting event content strategy and capturing content on-site at live events.
  • Comfort working with data and performance metrics to inform content decisions.
