About the role
Guided by resilience, inclusion, and student empowerment, The Pinnacle School redefines education for every learner. We seek a Social Emotional Coach to provide one-on-one behavioral and emotional support to students, helping them build self-regulation, social skills, and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one classroom support focused on academic engagement, emotional regulation, and social interaction
- Monitor and document student behavior, progress, and responses to interventions
- Aid students with self-help and daily living skills to promote independence and confidence
- Implement de-escalation and calming strategies to maintain safety and support emotional stability
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, individualized student support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or a related field
- Experience supporting children or adolescents with behavioral or learning differences
- Calm, caring, and patient demeanor grounded in professionalism and empathy
- Strong collaboration, active listening, and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication tasks
Qualifications
- Availability to work 11 months (academic school year and a 4 week summer program)
- Available to work Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management
