About the role
Soccer Shots is a family-owned and operated business that offers year-round Soccer Shots programs in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The primary internship site is located at 2 Trap Falls Rd 318, Shelton, throughout Fairfield County.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall execution of the scheduled Soccer Shots season
- Plan and run free clinic
- Coach sessions throughout the season
- Video/photo projects
- Run demos and attend promo events
- Participate in selling
- Correspond with center directors
- Participate in social media content creation and communication
- Create, print, and distribute registration forms and promotional materials
- Prepare and keep record of equipment sets and gear for instructors
- Aid in preparation of instructor training meeting
- Prepare marketing documents
- Data entry
- Attend regional meetings
- Attend Director Round Table discussions and staff meetings
- Submit final report to Soccer Shots on experience
Qualifications
- Handle and present oneself professionally
- Arrive on time to assigned office hours, coaching sessions, and events
- Gain knowledge in planning, scheduling, sales/marketing, customer service, and management side of the business
- Organize and coordinate an annual clinic or event
- Instruct Soccer Shots sessions

Requirements
- Minimum of 220 hours over a 11-to-13-week period
- Seasons: Spring Semester (mid-December to early June), Summer (May to mid-August), Fall Semester (August/September to end of November)
- Work weeks: 12-15 consecutive weeks with 15-35 hours per week
- Hours: Can vary per week and determined by supervisor and intern's schedule
- Intern compensation: Based on number of hours assigned to internship ($18 per hour)
- Additional events: Some travel may be required
Pay
The intern will be compensated based on the number of hours assigned to the internship. The intern will be paid $18 per hour.
Schedule
Sessions will be scheduled within close proximity of the intern’s residence whenever possible. The intern will be working 15-35 hours per week, with a mix of office/administration and on-field assignments depending on the season.
