Soccer Coach

Duties

• Lead 3-5 Sessions as well as 1-2 games per weekend from October until mid-November.
• Plan and conduct soccer training sessions for players of various ages and skill levels.
• Teach fundamental soccer skills, techniques, and strategies.
• Develop and implement practice drills and game plans.
• Provide guidance and feedback to players to help them improve their performance.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment.
• Ensure the safety of all players during training sessions and games.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding player progress and team updates.
• Attend team meetings, coaching clinics, and workshops to enhance coaching skills.

Requirements

• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations.
• Regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for youth sports and a desire to make a positive impact on young lives.
• Experience in coaching soccer or a related sport is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the Steel Sports coaching system and “The Lasorda Way” is beneficial.
