SOC/Incident Response Engineer

About the role

The SOC/Incident Response Engineer is responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, maintaining security protocols, and ensuring the integrity of the organization’s systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in real-time.
• Investigate and contain security incidents, including malware and unauthorized access.
• Document findings and provide recommendations for improving security practices.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure a comprehensive security posture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or incident response.
• Experience with SIEM tools and intrusion detection systems.
• Knowledge of common attack vectors and best practices for preventing cyber threats.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with network security concepts and technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay

• $80,000 - $100,000 annually.

Schedule
