SOC/Incident Response Engineer

About the role

Responsible for managing security operations center activities, responding to and investigating security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in real-time.
• Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and incident response processes.
• Document and maintain detailed incident reports and logs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT security operations or incident response.
• Experience with SIEM tools and security protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or CIS.
• Knowledge of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies.

Skills

• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with network security concepts and technologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information securely.
