About the Role

The SOC Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats to protect the organization's systems, networks, and data. The role involves analyzing security alerts, investigating incidents, supporting threat detection, and collaborating with IT and security teams to maintain a strong security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar).
• Investigate, triage, and respond to security incidents.
• Monitor EDR/XDR solutions (e.g., Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Perform threat hunting, log analysis, and vulnerability assessment.
• Support incident response, documentation, and security compliance.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve security issues and improve security controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, or Splunk are preferred.

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of experience in SOC, cybersecurity, or security operations.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, and incident response.
• Knowledge of networking, Windows/Linux, cloud security, and IAM concepts.
• Basic scripting (PowerShell or Python) is a plus.

Pay

$60.00–$70.00 / Hourly
