Snowmaker Level 1

Responsibilities

• Operate high voltage equipment, high pressure air and water systems utilizing appropriate safety precautions
• Set up, tear down, and maintain snowmaking equipment in a safe and efficient manner on any trail that has snowmaking on it
• Create the best skiing surface through the production of snow
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of buildings, equipment, snow guns, and hoses
• Check out and return all tools, headlamps, and radios to original locations
• Report any needed repairs or malfunctions to the supervisors
• Receive daily work instruction and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Help in other departments during peak periods
• Work in a fast-paced, potentially high-pressure environment
• Maintain a positive attitude throughout the shift

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
• Fluent in English communication skills
• Able to lift, bend, kneel, and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Basic hand tool knowledge and skill
• Able to define problems, establish facts, and draw conclusions
• Self-motivated and flexible with hours and days of work
• Able to work in harsh winter conditions with extremes of temperature, wind, and precipitation for extended period outdoors in an alpine environment
