About the role

Sugarbush Resort is seeking entry-level and experienced Snowmakers to join our team this upcoming Winter Season. Snowmakers are a critical component in laying the groundwork for an amazing ski season. This is a winter seasonal position that runs from November until mid-February (weather dependent) and has the possibility to move into different positions around the resort after snowmaking has ended.

Responsibilities

• Physically demanding work including regular lifting, pulling, and carrying while working outside in sometimes extreme weather conditions
• Work as part of a larger team per daily snow plan: transporting equipment, routing hoses, clearing guns, positioning/starting/stopping snow guns, and adjusting systems to maximize snow coverage and quality

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work long hours, outdoors, overnights, and exposed to the elements
• Physically able to move/operate equipment and lift 50-100 lbs worth of equipment
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and teammates
• Timely and reliable attendance is essential

Qualifications

• Experience with ATV/snowmobiles is preferable
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable but not required

Schedule

• Winter seasonal position: November until mid-February (weather dependent)
• Shifts run 12 hours on a staggered schedule of 4 days per week, with the potential for overtime
• Night shift hours: 7pm-7am (higher pay rate than day shift)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18/hour–$24/hour depending on experience.
