Snowflake solutions Architect
About the role
The Snowflake DBT Architect provides technology direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. You will collaborate with industry talent to create and implement innovative, high-quality solutions and participate in sales and client-focused pursuits. This role is part of the Business Unit Leadership team and may mentor Junior Architects and development team members.

Responsibilities
- Provide architectural solutions and designs to project execution teams for implementation.
- Deliver technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
- Collaborate with application developers, users, operational leadership, and subject matter experts to understand current and future operational data analysis goals.
- Recommend modern technology stacks to meet those goals and help engineering teams migrate toward their use.
- Work with the customer’s operations and technology leadership on future analytic goals and design a technical architecture to meet them.
- Participate in configuring the architecture and advise engineering teams on its efficient use.
- Lead a work stream or act as a team lead, managing non-complex components of the work plan or project.
- Utilize analytical, process, and technical skills to meet project objectives and deliverables within scope.
- Engage in pre-sales activities and practice development.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of data engineering experience with data warehouse and data lake projects.
- At least 5 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise, and solutions architecture, and architectural frameworks.
- At least 5 years of experience with data cloud technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience with Snowflake, DBT, and/or Fivetran.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Snowflake Ecosystem demonstrating breadth and depth of Snowflake capabilities and the ability to provide recommendations for business cases.
- Knowledge in leveraging AI capabilities in implementing data warehouse and data lake projects.
- Experience defining new architectures and driving independent projects from an architectural standpoint.
- Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
- Knowledge and experience developing software using agile methodologies.
- Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
- Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.
- Demonstrated success managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, effectively communicating with technical and non-technical staff.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments.
- Ability to produce high-quality products within deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Must be open to travel.
- Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing offshore teams.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
- Certification in Snowflake (preferred).
- Experience with authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
- A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, including ethical considerations.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $81,978 to $178,090, reflecting the minimum and maximum targets across all US locations. Compensation decisions depend on skill sets, experience, office location, and other business needs. The range does not include benefits, potential equity, or variable bonus programs.
