Job Title - Snowflake Data architect with AWS Location - Hybrid @ Dallas, TX Job Summary Sr Architect with 12 to 14 years of experience in AWS and Snowflake SQL for cards and payments domain responsible for designing secure scalable data platforms that support real time and batch analytics in a hybrid work model enabling reliable transaction insights and regulatory reporting for global financial services clients. Responsibilities Design enterprise grade data architectures that apply AWS and Snowflake SQL to support high volume cards and payments processing while meeting scalability and security objectivesDevelop robust data integration patterns that orchestrate ingestion transformation and publishing workflows to deliver consistent and trusted datasets for downstream analytics and operational reportingOptimize complex Snowflake SQL workloads by refining query structures clustering strategies and data modeling patterns to achieve predictable performance for mission critical transaction analysisCoordinate with cards and payments product teams to translate authorization clearing settlement and dispute processes into precise data requirements and reusable data assetsImplement resilient data pipelines in Azure Data Factory that handle streaming and batch feeds from card networks banks and fintech partners while ensuring reliable error handling and recoveryEstablish data quality validation and reconciliation rules that safeguard transaction accuracy limit disputes and support compliance initiatives across multiple regulatory jurisdictionsCreate logical and physical data models that align payment transaction reference and master data structures with industry standards and internal governance practicesCollaborate with risk fraud and compliance stakeholders to design data flows that detect anomalous card activity and enable timely interventions for customer protectionDefine security and data access patterns that apply role based controls encryption and monitoring to safeguard sensitive cardholder information across all data platformsGuide development and operations teams in adopting best practices for version control continuous integration and automated testing of Azure Data Factory pipelines and Snowflake SQL assetsProduce clear architecture documentation data flow diagrams and design guidelines that enable consistent implementation and maintenance by distributed engineering teamsSupport capacity planning and cost optimization activities by analyzing workload patterns and proposing configuration adjustments for Azure and Snowflake environmentsCoordinate with enterprise architects to align cards and payments data architecture with broader digital transformation roadmaps and shared platform capabilities Qualifications Possess extensive hands on experience in AWS including pipeline orchestration mapping data flows monitoring and integration with other Azure services for data driven applicationsDemonstrate advanced proficiency in Snowflake SQL covering schema design performance tuning query optimization and secure data sharing within large scale financial environmentsBring deep functional understanding of cards and payments including transaction lifecycles settlement processes interchange fees chargebacks and fraud prevention practicesExhibit strong skills in dimensional and normalized data modeling with a track record of delivering maintainable models for financial transaction analytics and regulatory reportingShow proven experience in designing highly available data platforms that support near real time analytics for card spends merchant performance and customer behavior insightsApply solid knowledge of data governance master data management and metadata practices to ensure consistency and traceability of card transaction data across domainsDemonstrate practical exposure to Agile delivery models and hybrid work environments with strong communication capabilities for working across global cross functional teams Salary And Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $120-160K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
