SNF Patient Transporter / Driver

About the role

Sandstone Estates is seeking a full-time transporter to join our transportation department. The primary responsibility is to transport guests to their outside appointments in Tucson promptly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Relate positively, favorably, and cooperatively with others, including physicians, associates, guests, visitors, and personnel of outside agencies and organizations.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
• Work tactfully with personnel, guests, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of the facility vehicles.
• Perform regular inspections of the vehicles for proper working order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Work harmoniously with other personnel and handle guests based on their current maturity levels.
• Relate information concerning a patient’s condition.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record in accordance with state requirements.
• CPR certification.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Full vaccination for COVID or a qualifying exemption.

Experience

• One (1) year of recent customer service experience in a hospitality or healthcare environment required.
• One (1) year of professional driving experience strongly preferred.
