Coordinates the sale of food snack items and the preparation and sale of short-order items for Market Fresh Bistro at NSF Indian Head.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the proper preparation, portioning, display and price marking of food items and adherence to correct receipt and pricing procedures.
- Maintains adequate stock levels, requisitions merchandise and assists with inventories.
- Maintains security of work areas, cash, fixed assets and merchandise inventory.
- Ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation and security regulations.
- May assist with training of all assigned personnel.
- Operates a cash register and/or Point of Sale (POS) System.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS AS SCHEDULED BY THE SUPERVISOR.
- Must be 18 years of age in order to pass a background check.
- Must be able to obtain a valid health card.
- Subject to hot, humid and extreme cold conditions.
- Will be subject to minor burns and cuts.
