About the role

A Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) RF Layout Designer is responsible for leading the physical implementation of high-performance RF/analog integrated devices, test structures, circuits, and support technology development and PDK enablement. This role bridges circuit design, device technology, and manufacturable layout, ensuring optimal performance, yield, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver qualification test chips on time.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams and drive the project in timely cost-sensitive fashion.
  • Train junior engineers, striving to improve the quality of the workflow.
  • May be required to lead medium-size projects and small teams.

Qualifications

  • BS + 8-10 years of experience or MS + 7 or more years or PhD + 5 or more years
  • Worked on RF/Analog layout designs.
  • Experienced in Cadence Virtuoso and Skill programming.
  • Very familiar with the foundry design rules.
  • Able to reason and, if needed, compact the designs.
  • Lead small teams, performed the role of technical/project leads.

Benefits

The exact salary range is $118,000.00 - $210,000.00. The role you are applying for may require you to obtain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance at some time during your employment. Acceptance of this role commits to applying for such if requested. Further, the applicant consents to being asked questions about their citizenship and background to assess the likelihood of obtaining a Security Clearance. The applicant also acknowledges that GlobalFoundries can only nominate and submit an application for a Security Clearance. The granting of a Security Clearance is at the sole discretion of the U.S. Government and the Department of Defense.

Pay

The expected salary range is $118,000.00 - $210,000.00. The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
