SMT Setup Operator / Material Handler – Entry-Level Manufacturing (1st Shift, Danbury CT)

About the role

This is a full-time, onsite role, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Keep our SMT production line stocked and moving.
• Ensure the right parts get to the right machine at the right time.
• Account for every part that comes back.
• A typical day involves:
• Receiving a parts kit from the stockroom for the next production job.
• Matching the kit to the work order.
• Staging the parts at the SMT line.
• Loading the parts onto the machine operators.
• Entering material transactions in the computer system.
• Printing labels for kits and leftover parts.
• Breaking down finished jobs and returning unused parts to the stockroom.
• Flagging the stockroom if something is missing or doesn't match.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• The ability to read work instructions and talk with your team in English.
• Comfort using a computer for everyday tasks - looking things up, entering information, printing labels; Microsoft Office proficiency a plus.
• The ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs during an 8-hour shift.
