SMT Operator (Temp to Full Time 1st Shift)

Job Duties

• Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic SMT machines used in the production of the company's product.
• Works from specific drawings, procedures and process documentation to perform production tasks.
• Pays attention to process controls and process inputs as required to monitor product quality, including Statistical Process Control, process improvements and line optimization as they relate to the SMT process.
• Conducts product inspection according to specific procedures.
• Uses PC-based software tools for setups, maintains component and machine specific databases as new devices and shape codes are introduced.
• Interfaces with Engineering and other support groups with regard to line problems and process improvements.

Physical Demands

• To stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment;
• Talk and hear in person;
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls;
• Reach with hands and arms;
• Occasionally may need to exert up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects.

Education And Experience

• High School or equivalent;
• 1-2 years equivalent experience;
• SMT Operator experience preferred;

Knowledge

• Knowledge of PCB handling;
• ESD practices;
• IPC-610 standards;
