Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Clinic Administrator, Office Manager, and Clinic RN, uses the nursing process to safely provide patient care and patient education. Workload will be determined by clinic's appointment schedule, clinic staffing levels, and the needs and priorities of the outpatient clinics. Must be willing to be reassigned within clinic or willing to float to another clinic. Assignment to another clinic is possible and is established by daily review of overall outpatient clinics appointment schedules and staffing needs. The Clinic LPN will be assigned up to 40 hours per week according to the needs of the clinic and staff. Some weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to safely provide patient care and patient education.
• Affixes to the Clinic RN and Office Manager with orientation and preceptorship for clinic technicians and clerical staff assigned to clinic.
• Assists with documentation of clinic patient care given.
• Affixes to the review and maintenance of patient chart per clinic policy.
• Affixes to the accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into computer system.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
• Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is nonnegotiable and will be the responsibility of the employee to arrange and attend sessions.
