What You Will Do
- Assists the Registered Nurse with data collection, documentation, and communication for assigned patients.
- Provides physical and comfort care.
- Observes and reports relevant information and changes in patients' conditions to the Registered Nurse.
- Documents and communicates patient responses and the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
- Routinely uses evidence-based practice literature, policy manuals, and other resources to ensure consistent and accurate care.
- Reinforces patient teaching plans as outlined in the Plan of Care.
- Completes annual educational programs.
- Demonstrates understanding and adherence to safety and infection control practices, emergency procedures, and other hospital policies.
- Evaluates ancillary personnel's activities and participates in performance improvement processes.
- Participates in unit-based and organizational activities as appropriate.
Summary of Skills
- Performs wound care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Collections blood, urine, and POC glucose specimens, ensuring correct patient identification.
- Maintains a low blood culture contamination rate by following proper procedures.
- Recognizes and addresses the unique needs of different age groups.
- Administers medication according to hospital policy.
- Inserts and maintains intravenous access, including midlines and central lines.
- Provides education to patients as part of their care plan.
Education Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of LPN/LVN.
Experience Qualifications
- Acute or subacute experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support.

Pay Range
$28.00/hour - $38.00/hour

Qualifications
