Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist provides patient treatment to help them develop and improve their ability to complete everyday tasks related to their job and daily life. Responsibilities include performing initial patient assessments, teaching patients to use adaptive technology, and coaching them through therapeutic activities.

Work Schedule

The Occupational Therapist works a 40-hour week Monday through Friday.

Scope of Practice

The Occupational Therapist functions within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the department and organizations. Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.

Documentation and Data Entry

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for documenting total care given, reviewing and maintaining patient charts per policy, and assisting with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into the computer system.
