Smokey Joe is a Labrador Retriever mix, approximately 8 years and 5 months old, weighing 47.5 lbs. He has an impeccable memory and bonds beautifully with his humans. He’s extremely devoted and remembers people even if it’s been a while since his last visit with them.

Personality and Needs

Smokey Joe can be a bit selective about his canine friends and is preferred to be in an adult-only home. Due to his wariness of strangers when first meeting them, it is suggested that potential adopters meet him three times before taking him home to give him time to become familiar with them and adjust to his new surroundings.

Adoption Process

A meet and greet with the other pets in the adopter's home is required. The shelter has every expectation that once Smokey Joe is bonded and comfortable in his new surroundings, he’ll make a wonderful pet and companion.
