SMH Psych Tech - Child/Adolescent

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate team player to provide direct care and clinical services to inpatient psychiatric patients on an individual basis. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, social and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN, effective communication with patients to ensure access to required services, and reporting any patient changes to the RN. You will also participate in rounds and group therapy as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and clinical services to inpatient psychiatric patients.
• Assist with daily living activities, social, and psychiatric rehabilitation under RN direction.
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure access to required services.
• Report any patient changes to the RN.
• Participate in rounds and group therapy as needed.

Requirements

• 2 years of recent experience as a Psych Tech.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Associate’s degree in Psychology or Sociology.
• Experience working with children/adolescents aged 8–18.

Schedule

Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights (D/E/N). Work schedule includes holidays, weekends, on-call, and callback shifts based on unit needs.
