SME - Systems Engineer

Overview

VTG is seeking a Systems Engineer for a technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM/ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Systems Engineer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build outs, testing, maintenance, and monitoring of systems.

Requirements

• Ensure designs are compatible with the architecture and allocate requirements to segments.
• Address user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve existing systems; review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Identify system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycle from concept to disposal.
• Integrate systems and services and summarize and communicate results.
• Support the development, documentation, and execution of system policies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with SQL.
• Proficiency in Agile methodology and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow (ESP).
• Linux administration experience.
• Familiarity with security accreditation processes, including RMF, NIST, accreditation tools (Xacta, GreenLight), system and vulnerability scanning, and POAM tracking.
• Excellent customer support and attention to detail, providing Tier 3 and Tier 4 level support.
• Release management experience for deployment readiness, coordination, and activities, including occasional late‑night work (typically once or twice a month, 5 pm – 9 pm).
