SME Systems Engineer

About the role

Lentech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with extensive experience in systems engineering, particularly in the areas of ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/MLOps. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and experience with Amazon SageMaker.

Responsibilities

• Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.
• Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288.
• Active and current TS.SCI w FSP through MD
• Experience with cloud architecture, cloud engineer, platform engineering (especially in AWS)
• Experience with AI/ML system design and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholder groups
• System security and networking (particularly the implementation of system security on classified systems)
• Data engineering and data lifecycle management

Requirements

• 20 years as a Systems Engineer
• High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general system engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
• PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
• Cloud Architecture/ Cloud Engineer/ Platform Engineering (especially in AWS)
• AI/ML system design and implementation
• Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/MLOps
• Experience with Amazon SageMaker is a plus
