About the role
The position involves translating fleet operations requirements into technical stories and acceptance criteria, analyzing impacts across integrated applications, and managing testing sessions.
Responsibilities
- Translate fleet operations requirements into technical stories and acceptance criteria
- Analyze upstream/downstream impacts across ~30 integrated applications and external systems
- Validate data, build test scenarios, and support defect analysis using SQL
- Understand and work with Apache Kafka for message flows and data movement
- Decompose complex processes into clear business logic, workflows, and testable requirements
- Work with Oracle databases to trace data transformations and troubleshoot issues
- Interpret logs, understand data mappings, and collaborate with developers/architects to shape technical solutions
- Lead discussions across multiple groups, ensuring clarity of requirements and consistent communication
- Manage UAT and CAT testing sessions, including scenario development, user coordination, and defect tracking
- Create process documentation, user guides, SOPs, and support workflows
- Facilitate working sessions, gather requirements, conduct impact assessments, and help teams reach alignment
- Escalate blockers and drive issues to closure across vendors and internal teams
- Communicate complex topics clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences
- Manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and timelines with attention to detail
- Proactively solve problems and trace issues across interacting systems
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Vehicle Maintenance Systems, Fleet Management workflows, and related business processes
- Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems, including parts management, work orders, cost tracking, and supplier interfaces
- Minimum 4 years of experience in translating fleet operations requirements into technical stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong SQL skills for validating data, building test scenarios, and supporting defect analysis
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka—understanding of message flows, schemas, and how data moves between systems
- Experience validating API behavior, request/response structures, and integration rules
- Working knowledge of Oracle databases, including how to trace data transformations and troubleshoot issues with developers
- Ability to interpret logs, understand data mappings, and work with developers/architects to shape technical solutions
- Strong background in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog refinement, writing stories, creating test cases, and participating in sprint ceremonies
- Hands-on experience with project/work management tools, preferably VersionOne
- Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM)—incident, problem, change management (ServiceNow preferred)
- Experience creating process documentation, user guides, SOPs, and support workflows
- Cross-team facilitation skills to lead discussions across multiple groups—business, developers, QA, vendors, and architects
- Ability to serve as the liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clarity of requirements and consistent communication
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution
- Three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education
- Completion of a Master's degree program is strongly preferred
- The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods
- Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face
- Travel may be required as per the job requirements
