Responsibilities
- Experience managing the effective implementation of backup and restore procedures and working practices.
- Experience reviewing backup and restoring reports on a daily basis and monitoring backup and restoring information, standards, procedures, measurements, tools and technology.
- Experience determining what reports are produced and the reporting schedule.
- Experience working closely with Service Level Management to ensure data management services remain capable of meeting ongoing and future requirements.
- Experience estimating overall storage resource and budget requirements for Asset Management as input to the IT plan in conjunction with other process owners.
- Experience collating and analyzing process measurements associated with data management and recommending improvement activities based on service deviation.
- Experience serving as a subject matter expert and thought leader in technical areas, specializing in Cloud, Enterprise Architecture and associated platforms and tools.
- Experience performing complex systems architecture and engineering to define, architect, design, engineer and implement enterprise-wide IT systems and solutions across the technology stack.
- Experience developing design concepts that are consistent with the Enterprise Architecture guidance and industry best practices to address new requirements, changes in the technical environment, and/or enhance performance.
- Experience providing technical expertise in creating, updating, maintaining and visualizing architecture data.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data warehouses using emerging technologies such as cloud-based data warehousing, NoSQL databases, and data virtualization.
- Experience in collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement data warehouse solutions, and ensures data security and integrity by implementing access controls, backup and recovery procedures, and data encryption.
- Experience serving as a technical liaison with regard to system architecture focusing on performance, availability, redundancy, data protection, and information security.
- Experience collaborating with customers to evaluate mission drivers, identify challenges, define mitigation strategies, assess applications, develop transition plans, and develop business cases in support of Cloud and other initiatives.

The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $53,000 to $270,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
