SMD Test/Pack Operator

About the role

Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is seeking a SMD Test Pack Operator for the 2nd shift (Monday – Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.). Overtime is available as needed. This role involves packing Surface Mount resistors into reels or bulk packages, including WSL, WSLM, WSK, WSC, WSF, and WSH product types.

Responsibilities

• Turn on packing machine and place reels, cover tape, and carrier tape on the machine.
• Receive order forms from QC or Finished Good Stock.
• Set up the computer to packing and testing specifications noted on the production card and set counters.
• Run out leader tape.
• Place resistors into Syntron bowl (Test Pack or Tokyo Weld machines) or load resistor sticks to the table (stick-to-tape machines).
• Start the machine by pressing the keyboard button and operate until the desired quantity is packed.
• Run out carrier tape tail to wind around the end of the reel.
• Remove finished reel from the machine; repeat procedures if order quantity exceeds reel capacity.
• Package orders in bulk packaging where necessary.
• Print PNID labels and bar code labels as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One to three months of relevant experience.
