SMART Meter Instructor
About the role
The SMART Meter Instructor position at Oneonta, NY is responsible for providing engaging instruction, administering tests, and evaluating student progress in the field of Career Technical Training. The role involves developing and preparing lessons, recommending curricula changes, and managing the classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Provides students with industry-recognized instruction and training.
- Develops and prepares lessons; recommends curricula changes and supplemental materials.
- Administers and corrects tests; logs and maintains progress and attendance.
- Selects, modifies, and uses instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
- Moves about the room to tutor, coach, evaluate, and assist students as needed.
- Motivates and counsels students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
- Evaluates and supervises students in an on-the-job training experience.
- Participates in providing hands-on activities for students in the career preparation program.

Qualifications
Must have a valid drivers license and possess high energy level and ability to engage students.
