About the role
Loenbro is a trusted construction lifecycle partner serving thousands of customers across the U.S. with services including Critical Electrical, Mechanical & Structural, Soft Crafts, Inspection, Underground Maintenance and Installation, and Fabrication. The Electrical Trainer position plays a key role in developing Loenbro’s craft workforce by delivering high-quality training, coaching, and technical development to apprentices and field professionals.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple levels of Loenbro's electrical apprentice training using the NCCER curriculum, including: classroom instruction, scheduling, payroll coordination, material ordering, and record keeping.
- Deliver learning content in both English and Latin American Spanish.
- Provide job-specific training such as NEC code updates, NFPA 70e, and other required electrical/safety instruction.
- Maintain a professional, supportive, and structured classroom environment.
- Conduct electrical assessments to identify knowledge gaps, training needs, and curriculum updates for incoming candidates.
- Coach and mentor employees helping them advance through their apprenticeship levels and career pathways.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure training effectiveness, skill progression, and credential attainment.
- Hold weekly one-on-one check-ins with students and maintain training logs.
- Certify and re-certify employees, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
- Follow and enforce all Loenbro safety policies and report unsafe conditions to leadership.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience as an Industrial or Commercial Electrician, preferably with experience leading crews.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, installation practices, and troubleshooting.
- Experience mentoring or training apprentices or field teams.
- High school diploma required; technical certifications, journeyman/master credentials, or NCCER qualifications.
- Bilingual Fluency (English/Spanish) is required.
- Foreman-level and above strongly preferred.
- NCCER Certified Instructor or willingness to obtain certification.
- Bilingual in English and Latin American Spanish (spoken and written).
- Previous experience managing or facilitating trade training programs.
Qualifications
