Duties & Responsibilities
- Use cutting-edge software for programming of automated laser cutting and robotic bending equipment
- Set up and operate automated state-of-the-art TRUMPF laser and robotic bending equipment
- Monitor availability, quality and performance while ensuring dimensional accuracy of output parts
- Estimate, schedule, and monitor production orders while providing feedback on part designs to improve cost and process efficiency throughout the factory
- Consult with customers for clarifications, drawings, and pricing to ensure alignment with production capabilities
- Support lean manufacturing activities and improve product/information flow by implementing standardized procedures, structures and reports
- Participate in Smart Factory, Industry 4.0 and AI-driven application studies, seminars and customer events
- Work closely with other teams to provide best-in-class experiences for all visitors to the TRUMPF Smart Factory
- Troubleshoot machine errors and work with TRUMPF Service experts to resolve
- Operate forklifts, AGVs and other tools as needed
Requirements
- Min. 2 years-experience in sheet metal fabrication & machinery, preferably experienced using TRUMPF equipment
- Knowledge of manufacturing execution system (MES) and laser/bend programming software is a plus
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and communication skills are required, as the role involves regular contact with customers and Sales representatives
Qualifications
- Min. 2-year technical school degree or equivalent work experience, with a solid math background
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate or technical degree in manufacturing preferred
- Fluency in both written and verbal English required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
Pay
Pay Range: $23.20 to $36.11/Hour
