Position Summary
This position is responsible for the effective maintenance and sustainability of smart factory equipment and systems, including IIOT devices, standard EcoStruxure systems (LDS/DISS), and emerging innovative technologies. This role involves leading the on-site adoption and utilization of new tools, as well as executing preventative maintenance and initial troubleshooting for smart factory systems. In addition, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving technical documentation for processes, systems, and operational standards.
Responsibility
- Ensure the safety of team members by following all SE policies.
- Decide, prioritize, and implement manufacturing and maintenance action plans to maintain smart factory systems in their original state.
- Document and create technical writing for new technology projects implemented.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment based on manuals and specifications.
- Provide input to supervision, engineering, and quality groups regarding efficiency improvements.
- Utilize the LDS system to acknowledge and respond to Andon from the line related to new tech issues or standard EcoStruxure tools.
- Utilize the DISS system to review actions, assign tasks, and close actions to support special projects.
- Responsible for on-site support when new projects are implemented to ensure adoption in parallel with the project leader.
- Establish and maintain current systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and standardized.
Job Conditions

- Noise level is within normal and acceptable standards for environment.
- Proper use of various hand tools, cutting tools required.
- Improper use of electrical devices could cause injuries and burns. Gloves must be used when handling circuits.
Lead Responsibilities
- Maintains KPI’s for Safety, Quality, Production, and Quality Systems.
- Provides support to smart factory engineers 'day to day' instruction as assigned by Supervisor.
- Trainer for the tools adoptions.
- Generate new technologies documentation for projects implementation.
- Keep LDS, DISS accesses and categories standardized up to date.
- Strong contributor to continuous improvement.
- Drive team to meet daily goals and escalate barriers with support teams.
- Open communication between shifts.
- Participates in events in Poka-yoke/Jidoka, Kaizens and Digital days.
Skills
- Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and specifications.
- Software Experience: Proficiency in SAP, Desired EcoStruxure platforms (DISS, and LDS).
- Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and influence teams without direct reporting authority.
- Experience: Minimum of 3.5 years of relevant experience, or a technical certificate, or an associate degree in Systems, Technology, or Manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming, electrical wiring and desired programming languages.
- Technical Writing: Ability to create clear, comprehensive, and well‑structured technical documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Automation Knowledge: Basic to intermediate knowledge of automation and systems integration.
- Quality Control: Familiarity with Poka-yoke/Jidoka and quality fundamentals.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to contact technical support for troubleshooting specialized machinery or technology equipment.
